“I Wanna Live Forever”

I’ve claimed the authentic artist wants to live forever, to be passed on in time. At first glance, it may seem egoistic, but if there’s positive value being provided I think it’s a worthy goal that should be taken up.

The artist has the onus of living physically, but the artist also who wish to transcend, the ones that want to last and leave an impression and leave a mark – these are the artists that last forever.

To do what others can not do requires skill, to see what no one can is true genius.

Ah, the burden of knowing something can potentially remain physical long after you’re gone. Better make it worthwhile.

You can see this with any remarkable artist that has left a body of work for future generations to digest. Perhaps they imparted knowledge and wisdom to ameliorate the human condition.

Others just want to have a pay-cheque rather than living on in memory forever. I can understand that. I don’t think it’s meant for everyone to accomplish. And it can’t.

To create a piece of art to stand the test of time is a great feat. One would probably require a good amount of time, dedication and vision.

One of the reasons why I use the knowledge of fitness nutrition besides just feeling good, overall mental fitness and clarity is to extend life – to have the time.

It’s not the primary thing- but you gotta go sometime. To feel good in your body is worthy goal.

It’s good to be able to have time if needed though. You never know when your greatest moment will depart from you.

“The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering.”

-Bruce Lee

Future Technologies

I can foresee more technologies to sustain life in greater potency as they are increasingly doing so today.

I think technology should help the human condition but not necessarily eliminate our humanity in the process.

I’m always enthralled at the new ideas being pushed in the area of enhancing intelligence.

There’s a great of ethics involved with trying to implement immortality.

Immortality shouldn’t be a prime goal to strive for.

If we live forever through technology, I think the essence of the human spirit is extinguished.

What is the sense of living forever, when you are no longer human?

Division between people that are immortal and not may present a challenge.

Though my view changes from time to time as technologies develop. It’s fantastic to see new advancements practically daily, fascinating.

The Transhuman Condition

This why I love the work from my friends here in Ottawa:  Encephalon. My contemporaries.

They’ve embedded The Transhuman Condition on their album entitled:

The Transhuman Condition no less.

It’s an Electro-Industrial album dealing with these kinds of topics in the not so distant future and what potential problems can arise from that kind of situation.

I’ve remixed a track from that album.

Remarkable writing and exceptional production, I urge you to check it out.

The Human Condition

“Most men live lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.”
-Henry David Thoreau

That quote is the most poignant, brutally honest and sorrowful quotes I’ve ever read.

I think part of the reason which Thoreau said that is people give up on their goals easily or don’t strive through life with goals. It’s difficult to stay motivated, you gotta be inspired, or else ideas won’t come to fruition.

When you don’t live from the deepest part of your soul, your authentic self, your own person. Your soul is slowly withering and evacuating from your body.

From the perspective of art,  I think a good work should question a lot of things in life.  Question and examine the human condition.

It should provide value in one way or another.

It should leave a lasting impression on all of human civilization, for the greater good.

Art has such a dynamic and dimension of power. I always found this remarkable about it’s potential.

To live on, by trailblazing for humanity. Pushing boundaries.

Pushing yourself as far and deep as you can go is best for striving away from mediocrity and relishing in to the depths of your aspirations.

Time to reclaim your soul. Aspire for greater ideals.

Until next time.
